## What is it?

PostNord is the national postal operator for Sweden and Denmark, and a major Nordic logistics provider. Ingrid integrates with PostNord for checkout, booking, and tracking across Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, and to many European destinations.

The integration supports a range of PostNord products — see [PostNord on carrier.ingrid.com](https://carrier.ingrid.com/carrier/PostNord) for the full list with per-product coverage, capabilities, and country routes.

## How credentials work for PostNord

PostNord in Ingrid uses **Ingrid-unified credentials for both checkout and tracking** — no merchant credentials are required.

| Function | Credentials model | Merchant action |
| --- | --- | --- |
| **Checkout** | Ingrid-unified | None — Ingrid handles authentication centrally |
| **Tracking** | Ingrid-unified | None — Ingrid handles authentication centrally |

This means there are no PostNord API keys or developer portal steps for you to complete. Once your account is configured for PostNord in Ingrid, the integration works.

## Modern checkout — the PostNord DO API

PostNord's **Delivery Options (DO) API** is the modern checkout integration in Ingrid.

### What DO API covers

- Delivery option selection in checkout
- Real-time ETA display
- Time-slot functionality
- Service point data (opening hours, accessibility, real-time availability)

### What DO API does not affect

- Booking, Returns, and Tracking — they continue to function independently of DO API configuration
- Shipment creation flows
- Post-purchase logistics handling

**All new PostNord merchants are onboarded on the DO API by default.** It requires Ingrid Checkout V2. If you're on Checkout V1, talk to your CSM about migration.

### Enabling DO API

To enable the DO API for your account, contact your Ingrid CSM or Support Team. The setup involves backend and frontend configuration on Ingrid's side.

### Showing accurate delivery times

Once DO API is enabled, you may also need to enable the **"Use time span"** setting on the relevant delivery categories so PostNord's real-time delivery time response is displayed in checkout. Default is off.

## FAQ

**Q: Do I need PostNord API credentials to use the integration?**
A: No. PostNord checkout and tracking both use Ingrid's unified credentials. There are no merchant credentials to provide.

**Q: What's the difference between the old PostNord integration and the DO API?**
A: The DO API is the modern integration with real-time ETAs and service point data. All new merchants are onboarded on DO API by default. Existing merchants on the legacy integration can migrate via their CSM.

**Q: Will my PostNord booking and tracking change if I move to the DO API?**
A: No. The DO API only affects checkout. Booking and tracking integrations continue independently of the DO API configuration.

**Q: Can I enable DO API myself?**
A: Not currently — DO API setup requires backend configuration by Ingrid. Contact your CSM to enable it.

**Q: Does the DO API change my shipment creation flow?**
A: No. DO API affects checkout only — it does not modify shipment creation, returns, or tracking.
