## Public holidays have a significant influence on order processing and delivery times. Ingrid’s Checkout takes these holidays into account, reflecting their impact on the delivery time promise shown during checkout.

**Ingrid’s Concept of Public Holidays**

Each bank holiday is considered in the delivery promise, and the timeframe is adjusted to account for non-working days. For instance, if the standard delivery time is stated as 1-2 business days and overlaps with the public holiday, the delivery promise will be extended to 2-3 business days.

**Examples of Extended Delivery Promises**

To illustrate the impact of public holidays on the delivery time promise, consider the following examples:

**Managing Public Holidays for Merchants**

By default, Ingrid applies public holiday adjustments to all merchants to ensure accurate delivery promises. However, if merchants wish to opt-out of this feature, they can easily do so by sending a request to [support@ingrid.com](mailto:support@ingrid.com)
